A very cosy hotel. It is a quite small brand new building so it brings the feeling of home. There is a lot of space in the rooms and big separate kitchen which allowed some quality cooking. The see in 3 minutes away. The location is a very small city Olhos d'Agua with some local shops and restaurants although big cities such Albufeira are 20 minutes away. Strongly advice this hotel.

Nice small resort, apartments are big, and the staff were friendly. Excellent value for money.
Our balcony was very small, and only had sun before 9am. The surrounding area is not as nice as I had hoped for, some tacky bars that play loud music late at night, and the closest beach is only average.

The apartment was super spacious and clean as, but the awkward sliding bathroom door was a bit of a hassle, eh? Pool area was choice for a chill day.

The one-bedroom apartment was impressively spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen with everything needed to whip up meals, and the pool view was a welcome sight from the balcony. The pool area itself was beautifully kept, with a good number of sun loungers making it easy to unwind without the morning scramble for spots.
Be prepared for a trek uphill to return from the beach, and those staying in certain rooms might find nighttime noise from nearby bars a real bother, with music seeping in until the early hours. The sliding bathroom door was a bit of a nuisance, and the absence of an ironing board meant you might be stuck with wrinkled clothes if you don't bring your own. The air conditioning was hit or miss. Some folks found it less efficient during peak warmth, which could be a drag after a hot day.

It's a small complex, quiet and situated near the beaches. Appartment looks good. Nice swimmingpools, good atmosphere. Good place to stay!
Kitchen is not well equiped.

Very spacious and comfortable rooms. We travelled with our 2 year old son, so the extra room was very much appreciated.
Cleaning of the rooms and the pool could be a bit more vigorous.

excellent room but slight uphill return
The apartment was spacious and impeccably clean. The staff were friendly, especially a particular receptionist who provided excellent service. I particularly enjoyed the pool view from the balcony. The pool area itself was well-maintained and peaceful, ideal for unwinding.
The walk back to the apartment from the beach can be challenging due to the uphill trek.

The Aqua Mar Hotel offers very spacious apartments, with new marble countertops in the bathrooms (double-sink) and kitchen, and new tiled floors for a low price. The balcony was also nice, but overlooked a very noisy street.
Unfortunately, we found quite a bit of mold around the door to the balcony and windows in the bedroom. Because of the health problems caused by mold, we vacated after one night. The management explained that they are working to eliminate the mold in the apartments and allowed us to cancel the rest of our reservation without penalty. However, until this problem is resolved, I would not recommend staying here, especially if traveling with small children or anyone with mold-related allergies. Also, there were no laundry facilities on the premises or nearby, which would be very helpful.

The stay was absolutely thoroughly enjoyable. Really enjoyed the place, absolutely spotless for rest. The room was good sized and huge, it included central heating, a work desk, and a TV set. Meals were fab, and there was Tracy's Bar near the hotel.
